In 2000,she won the Miss India contest and then went to Miss Universe competition.She won the crowned of Miss Universe 2000 for her beauty and brain with highest score. Then she offered by many producer to enroll in bollywood.

In 2003, she act in "Andazz" and got best debut actress by Femina.In next year ,"Masti", "Bardaasht" were average good on box office."Insaan", "No Entry", "Kaal", among these, last two was earned reputation. "Zinda" and "Bhagam Bhag"(comedy one) was moderate in hit list.
