Madhuri is called "Maryln Monore" of bollywood. She was born in a marathi family in Mumbai. Her father is Shankar Dixit and mother is Snehlata Dixit. She is one of the four children.

She studied on microbiology and take post graduation degree. In 1999, she married Dr Shriram Madhav Nene, who is an Indian doctor resides in USA. Madhuri has two kids Arin(2003) and Ryan(2005). Now she has spent happy life with her family.

Madhuri started her career in 1984 with a small role in the movie " Abodh", but it did not well in box office. When she was cast by Subash Ghai in his film "Uttar Dakhsin" and then "Ram Lakhan"(1988), it was turning point for Madhri in her film career.

After this, she never has to see back. Before releasing "Ram Lakhan" she did another hit movie "Tezaab" and placed at hit list.
